The Academic Advisor will:
Assist the student in developing a program of study, reviewed each semester (see Appendix A)
Approve course registration during each registration period
Sign Program and University forms that require the advisor's signature
Advise students about relevant University and Program academic policies when petitioning for waivers or unusual circumstances
Present petitions to the CSD faculty for action
Review the student's academic record each semester and provide academic counseling whenever necessary
Review all requirements and sign off on forms required for graduation
Initiate and serve as chair of the Clinical/Academic Review and Support Team (CARST) when a faculty or clinical staff member identifies a problem (see 4.2.2)
Assist students in identifying appropriate resources for personal and professional needs
Students are expected to monitor their academic progress throughout the Program.
