4.6. Medical Terminology
Students are required todemonstrate competency in medical terminology and medical abbreviations by achieving a passing score of 77% or higher on the Medical Terminology Competency Examination administered during program orientation.
Students who do not achieve a passing score on the initial examination will be permitted one additional attempt within two weeks. Students who do not achieve a passing score on the second attempt will be required to complete a remedial program as determined by the Program.
Students are expected to prepare independently for the examination. A recommended resource text and study materials will be provided to students prior to matriculation.
