2.3.5 Orientation and New Learner Onboarding
All newly admitted students are encouraged to participate in program and institutional onboarding activities prior to beginning coursework. Orientation and onboarding experiences are designed to support a successful transition into the program by introducing students to academic expectations, institutional resources, technology platforms, student support services, and degree requirements.
Students will receive information regarding required onboarding activities, orientation schedules, and registration procedures through their MGH Institute email account. Because many students in the program are balancing employment, family, and other responsibilities, orientation materials may be provided through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous formats. All synchronous sessions will be conducted with video conferencing software and will be recorded; students who are unable to attend live sessions are expected to review recordings.
Completion of all required onboarding activities may be necessary before students can fully access coursework and other institutional resources.
