4-1 Senate Purpose
The Faculty of the Mass General Brigham University of Health Professions is dedicated to supporting the vision, mission, values, strategic plan of the University.
The Faculty Senate is the elected representative body of the faculty. The Faculty Senate represents and advocates for Faculty on matters of academic standards, policies and procedures, creative and scholarly endeavors, and matters of faculty welfare to the administration and board. It has the right and duty to represent the Faculty on:
i) All matters which affect the faculty as a whole; and
ii) Assuring decision-making authority for the faculty in the domains that fall under their responsibility; and
iii) Participation in shared governance regarding university-wide planning and operation.
