6 - Graduation Ceremonies
Graduation for all students is celebrated at the May commencement ceremonies. In the standard timeframe, students are expected to meet the graduation requirements (section 4.6) by the end of the spring semester of the third year to be awarded a degree in May.
If the required 1820 hours are not completed by the May graduation deadline or if the externship extends beyond July of the graduation year, the student may graduate at the next upcoming ceremony (e.g., August). This may require continuous enrollment through the summer semester.
Students may graduate in December of their third year if they will have 1820 clinical hours by the December graduation application deadline AND their externship contract allows for early release.
