Assignments During Level I and Level II Fieldwork Experiences
In addition to course-related assignments outlined in the course syllabi, students should also expect to receive assignments directly from their fieldwork educators, particularly during Level II fieldwork experiences. Any assignments assigned by the fieldwork site or by faculty overseeing the fieldwork experience are required in addition to the course-related assignments listed in the syllabus.
When completing assignments such as case studies, students should first discuss the expectations with their Fieldwork Educator. Students are also reminded that a variety of resources are available to support them, including the Mass General Brigham University of Health Professions Library, department faculty and staff, and the AFWC.
Students are encouraged to take an active role in their learning during fieldwork. They are expected to reflect on their performance, identify areas where they would benefit from additional review, practice, or information, and take initiative in seeking out appropriate resources to support their growth and development as emerging practitioners.
