5.4.1 Course Remediation
Remediation typically involves several steps aimed at addressing deficiencies in knowledge, skills, or behaviors for students that do not satisfactorily meet program standards. This process aims to enhance the knowledge base, refine study methods, improve testing proficiency, and cultivate professional behaviors with the goal of meeting program-defined standards and learning outcomes.
- Successful remediation may allow academic progression; however, the course or examination will still be recorded as a failure for institutional tracking purposes, consistent with program policy.
- Failure to successfully complete remediation and/or retesting requirements will result in referral to the SDC, which may include consideration for program dismissal.
